Case 1: New logistic solution for large department store chain

Challenge: Higher logistics costs than competitors and low environment profile

Solution

Warehouse analyzes on all (10) warehouses:

  • Process analyze, external bench mark based on cost
  • Productivity time studies and analyzes thru observations and data analyzes
  • Analyze existing Staffing strategy and proposal for new strategy

Established a ”one-point solution” per product area

  • o Inbound, warehouse and distribution analyzes to find the optimal locations
  • o Developed and establish a new model for inbound simulation

Project management and warehouse design when established a new warehouse for frozen goods

  • Project team with competences from warehouse operations of frozen goods, Quality & Environment, Security, IT, Supply Chain, call off together created the solution
  • Material handling suppliers was invited to present different warehouse solution

Re design of the warehouses who shut down to re loading terminals

  • In total 15 terminals
  • The project gained reduced transport costs for high frequent goods and part loads

Case 2: New logistic strategy for supplier of industrial consumables, industrial components and related services

Challenge: Need of change the internal culture to become a more market oriented company. Further the need to consolidate the existing de centralized steering and establish one internal supply chain organization (from existing 5 organizations) and finaly Need of re structure of warehouse operation for the existing warehouses (20.000 sq. and  37.000 sq.)

Case 3:  New warehouse design to handle a new volume – appr. 5 times existing operation, for a fast moving consumer products company.

Challenge: New customer demands. The need of new space and automation upgrade for the warehouse.  Plan to extend the existing warehouse from 10 000 sq. to 20 000 sq.
